Plaza Mayor: the heart of Madrid de los Austrias
The Plaza Mayor began to be founded on the site of the old Plaza del Arrabal, where the most popular market of the town was late fifteenth century when the court of Philip II went to Madrid. Today it is home to the Madrid Tourist Center. All the months of December, the traditional Christmas market, which is celebrated since 1860.
